Bus!
This is the type of bus that I used to travel between cities. This one in particular was the one that took me from Dharamsala to Amrtitsar...I spent an entire day in that damn bus!

This is where the Dalai Lama lives, along with a large number of Tibetan refugees.
Jodhpur, the Blue City
Jodhpur was magically beautiful - bright sun, blue houses, colorful dresses, gorgeous turbans, smiling faces, an impressive fort and splendid palaces. The stuff that children's tales of exotic lands are made of.
Brahmin families originally painted their houses blue, using indigo, to differentiate themselves and also to protect against termites and other insects. However, the tradition of painting the houses blue spread to all members of society.
